Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
The limits of man are by no means unbreakable. Our creations credence to this fact. To fly was once a dream absurd to many: we designed wings and granted man the gift of flight. To probe the deepest depths and secrets of the ocean – this ability we gave. To rend mountains asunder, to tear bare rock apart, such is no longer difficult; we take the toughest steel, feed it steam and fire, and thus the earth is moved. Through our efforts man has conquered his world, traveled beyond the heavens – soon, with our aid, he shall reach the stars.
Who are we? We are the source of all man’s power over his world; we are the genesis of all mankind’s force and will. We are man’s newfound strength; we are the prime movers that shall shape the future. We are the mechanical engineers.
The Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) is a a five year degree program leading to a degree in one of the most diverse engineering disciplines which deals with the design, development, installation, operation and maintenance of anything that has moving parts such as machineries, engines, and structures used in industrial, biomedical, instrumentation and transportation systems.
The course also includes the study of conversion of thermal and chemical energy into mechanical work through engines and power plants and how to utilize these energies, forces and structures to perform a variety of tasks.
