ME and MECE Program Extension Activities

Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics  Engineering

The Mechanical Engineering program of the School of Engineering and Architecture provides extension services to Mechanical Engineers and other allied professionals.  These extension services are in the form of lectures and paper presentations both in local and international conferences.

For lectures conducted locally, Engr. Alfon V. Gatchallan conducted a series of lectures to the mechanical engineers of Texas Instruments (Phils.), Inc. from March 30, 2016 to June 2016 covering the special topics in Machine Design, Engineering Materials, Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer, Machinery Foundation and Fluid Mechanics

Engr. Marcelino Lunag, Jr. conducted lectures locally where the participants were local government officials of the City of Baguio and the Municipality of Itogon, faculty members and students of  the University of Baguio and Baguio Central University. In the international scene, Engr. Lunag presented  a case study in Malaysia.

Engr. Jeffrey Z. Duran also presented series of lectures on topics covering waste management to local government officials of the City of Baguio and the Municipality of Itogon, faculty members and students of the University of Baguio.

These activities of the Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering Department are their contribution to the corporate social responsibility of the SLU to the community covering social involvement.
