SEA Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Framework
The Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) reflects the SEA's commitment to continually provide quality Catholic education through continuously improving its services to meet its constituents' ever-changing needs. The CQI occurs at all levels of the SLU-SEA OBE system. To enhance the potential for success of CQI initiatives, SEA has initiated important changes in its CQI framework. The revised CQI Framework in Figure 2 manifests three elements of the CQI framework that give a more defined structure to the SLU-SEA CQI implementation. The three elements are: 1) CQI's foundational goal of providing Quality Catholic Education for the students (2) the University Administration, Working Groups and Constituents that work cooperatively in the implementation of the CQI activities, and 3) the institutional, school, and program levels of implementation using the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle. Manifested on the OBE Framework are the communication lines that loop back from the CQI block to the Constructive Alignment, Working Groups, and Program Constituencies. These lines indicate CQI's direct impact on constructive alignment and OBE committees and Program Constituencies' decision-making process. The lines from the program constituencies towards the CQI cycles show the direct influence of program constituencies on all aspects of the CQI process.
